About the event
Join CBA London for a look at historic Bloomsbury from a new angle.
Bloomsbury has a rich and distinctive history of arts, culture, politics, education, and more. This walking tour takes a different perspective: a history of Bloomsbury in explosions, from the Dynamite Outrages of 1885 to the 7/7 bombings of 2005, via the World Wars and more. Led by Gabe Moshenska, Associate Professor in Public Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology, we will look at monuments and memorials, sites of loss and destruction, as well as places of discovery and inspiration.
The tour will last roughly 1.25-1.5 hours starting at 5pm. There will be plenty of time for questions and we'll adjourn as ever to a pub to mull over all we've seen.
