About the event
Join us at Southwark Heritage Centre and Walworth Library for up to date news on the archaeology of Roman Southwark. From 11am until 1pm you can drop in and see Roman artefacts from Southwark’s museum collections and browse stalls from leading archaeology companies PCA, MOLA and AOC Archaeology will also demonstrate their new In Situ 3D scanning tool to explore Southwark’s oldest ‘mystery’ statue! From 1pm to 3.30 pm there will be three short talks from experts from each of these companies about aspects of Roman Southwark studied by their specialists. Southwark’s borough archaeologist will provide an update on the latest Roman sites. The event is free. You do not need to book in the morning but for the afternoon talks please book a place here, as numbers are limited.
